About Us

Founded in 2022 amid Ukraine’s war, the Charles and Valerie Quenneville Foundation partners with the Olena Kalaianova Foundation to deliver humanitarian aid and rescue animals.

Our House of Paws shelter in Mykolaiv saves, rehabilitates, and protects vulnerable animals while supporting communities, restoring compassion and hope in a conflict-ravaged region.

It is estimated that over one million pets
have been abandoned or displaced due to the war in Ukraine.
This has drastically increased the stray population and led to serious public health concerns, particularly regarding the spread of rabies.

Our Purpose

This isn’t just about rescuing animals—it’s about restoring dignity, compassion, and humanity in a place that’s seen far too much suffering. Every life saved at the House of Paws is a quiet victory against the chaos of war—and a reminder that even in the darkest times, love and kindness prevail.
